After shooting their wedding some years ago, and then a first Famil Portrait session when they had Percy a few years back, it was lovely to be asked to photograph them all again when Lizzy came along!

Capturing a family at play is one of my favourite photoshoots. Recording life long moments between parents and their children. The results are stunning photographs and happy clients. I won’t say photography is my life, ‘cause there are other things too. My wonderful family and friends, good food, travel, kayaking, and all the adventures of living where we do. However, you could say I’m rarely without a camera!

Here’s some images of Lauren, Russ & little Rennie. Rennie has just recently started walking so he loves exploring and playing in nature.  Bamarang Bush Retreat was where I photographed Lauren and Russ’s perfect south coast wedding a few years back. I had previously had the pleasure of shooting their fantastic coastal wedding in Mollymook and, knowing I love my landscape photography I was invited to come out and stay for a weekend sometime, photograph the family being themselves, and go exploring with my camera as well.

I didn’t have to be asked twice. I love the idea of visiting new and different places, and the challenge of capturing a slice of a different way of life to what I know always intrigues me.

The color, the light, the simple shapes of silos and windmills in an otherwise sparce landscape – all these elements made for really interesting photo opportunities. Following are some results..

I had the pleasure of shooting Josh and Sarah’s wedding in Mollymook earlier in the year, which was wonderful. At our pre-wedding meetings we got to talking about where they grew up – Josh in Cowra, and Sarah on her family’s farm. “You should come out and stay for a weekend sometime!” said Sarah.

Enough said. I love travelling, and the idea of visiting and capturing a slice of a different way of life to what I know always intrigues me.

And so it was that we journeyed out into the country and spent a fantastic weekend on the farm with Sarah, Josh and her Mum and Dad, brother, sister, in-laws and 4 champion nieces and nephews, the 4 dogs, the galah, the horses, the cow, the chooks, sheep and a lot of canola…
