I care a lot about the work I do, and relish the challenge of capturing the uniqueness of a family at a particular stage in their lives, whether that is after the arrival of a new baby, the special relationship between grandparents and grandchildren, or a family with adult children about to leave home.
Combine that with some of the wonderful locations I get to shoot in up and down the South Coast, and you can see why this kind of photography is something I love.
When children are involved it’s important to keep things relaxed, and that’s the feeling I try to bring to my shoots. If you are all relaxed, you can be yourselves and have fun.
With newborns, I like to keep things simple. They don’t need props and frills, rather I focus on capturing the emerging connection between you and this new little person, and the details – those tiny hands and feet, wide shiny eyes and soft baby skin.
